How it works
- Overhead becomes an hourly rate. Monthly overhead divided by your real working hours (days × hours) gives what one hour of your shop costs.
- Each unit carries its share. A unit's overhead share is its press time (1 ÷ production rate) times that hourly rate. Materials are the design's square inches times your film cost.
- Markup goes on top. The matrix prices 24 quantity breaks from 1 to 10,000. Specific-size mode also shows run times per quantity; all-sizes mode builds the full 10-360 sq in grid.
- Export it. Download the matrix as CSV for your price list, website, or the Price Calc Maker.
This is a no-discount model on purpose: every unit carries the same overhead and material cost, so the price reflects what the work actually costs at any quantity. Volume discounts are a business decision you can layer on afterward.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the price stay flat at higher quantities?

What should film cost per square inch include?
Film, ink, and powder per printed square inch. Divide a roll's total cost by its printable square inches to get the number.
Can I turn the matrix into a calculator on my website?
